On the 5th January 2010, the Government released official details of the new Boiler Scrappage Scheme.

Under the scheme, homeowners with a SEDBUK Band G (or less) boiler will be able to claim up to £400 rebate off a new, high efficiency Band A replacement - such as the Baxi/Potterton Duo-Tec/Promax Combi HE Band A Boilers

There are 4.5 million Band G boilers still installed in the UK. It is estimated that 1.8 million of these are Baxi Group boilers which includes in excess of 1 million standard efficiency Back Boiler Units - did you know that Baxi Group now has a  back boiler unit.                                          (click this link to check out the new unit)                                                                   high efficiency Band A BBU

However, grants are only available to 125,000 households on a first come first served basis so speed is of the essence, call TODAY and book your visit to gain a qualified quote from us to submit to THE ENERGY SAVING TRUST to get the go-ahead for your NEW BAND A COMBI BOILER INSTALL.

At Baxi/Potterton, we want to help customers, so here's the lowdown on how the scheme works:

  1. If the customer has a Band G (or less) appliance then you need to quote for a new Band A Baxi/Potterton boiler, as normal. The homeowner will then send relevant details to the Energy Saving Trust, (EST)    (click this link for boiler makes, G.C numbers etc to check yours!)  (Energy Saving Trust).
  2. The EST will issue a voucher to the homeowner, and ask to you to go ahead with installing their new boiler.
  3. Job done, the homeowner pays you and then supplies the voucher and job invoice to the EST.
  4. The EST will then pay the scrappage scheme grant direct to the homeowner within 25 working days.
